TRT, LLC is a small, veteran-owned company. All of our instructors currently work, or have worked full-time as police officers, firefighters, or U.S. Park Service Rangers. We have over 100 years of combined, real-world experience performing the skills we teach. We have also worked with Air Force SERE Specialists to development new and innovative techniques for rescuing downed air crew members in water.
We don't operate a "certificate mill." This is our job, but we aren't doing it just for the money. We are passionate about technical rescue and sharing our knowledge. If you receive a certificate from us, you'll leave knowing you earned it!
We have conducted water rescue training and rope rescue training for local, state, and federal law enforcement, public safety agencies and military units all over the United States. We have participated in and conducted training for members of:
As a small company with little overhead, we don't have to charge as much as other companies do. However, as you can clearly see from the testimonials above, just because our prices aren't high doesn't mean their training is better than ours.
We will come to your location to conduct any of the training we offer. That allows you to use YOUR equipment on YOUR waterways and save a lot of money at the same time.
Our instructors are nationally recognized experts in their respective fields and will help you preplan and prepare to respond to some of the trouble spots in your jurisdiction, organize your cache of rescue equipment for more efficient accessibility, or address any other questions while they are there teaching at no additional cost.
Practice does NOT make perfect. PERFECT PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT! We conduct our training as if it were an actual emergency. That means we take breaks if/when we can. We don't leave the site for lunch. Students must bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks to the classes. We don't train this way to make it tough on our students. We train this way to make our students tough!

Just like our water rescue classes, we conduct our rope rescue training like it's the real thing. Students must bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks to the class.
